A MAN CALLED HORSE . . . free, of course WILLIAM A. RUSHER RUSHER TO SPEAK One of America’s finest public speakers and deadliest debaters, William A. Rusher, will be at Whit ley Auditorium on Thursday, Octo ber 19th, at 8:00 p.m. Widely known for his many radio and television appearances, Mr. Rusher is gener ally conceded to be one of the most persuasive and knowledge able advocates of the conservative position in America today. At 46, Mr. Rusher is well into his third successful civillian career— as Publisher of National Review, America’s leading journal of con servative opinion. Mr. Rusher came to National Review in 1957 from the Internal Security Subcommittee of the United States Senate — the body charged by the Senate with the investigation of domestic Commu nism. As Associate Counsel to the subcommittee, Mr. Rusher took part in hundreds of hearings, both public and secret, and traveled widely in this country and abroad on Subcommittee business. His re cently published book, “Special Counsel” — drawing on material still largely unknown to the public — recounts his fascinating experi- (Continued on Page 3) Elon Introduces Ski Offer Entertainment Chairman, Bill Crocker If there are any questions call the S.G.A. office, ex. 367 Yes, it has really happened! The Physical Education Department is now offering a special Ski Course for all Elon students to Austria— January 8-30. Ski resorts are: St. Anton, January 10-15; Innsbruck, January 17-22; Dorfgastein, Janu ary 24-29. We must have no less than 20 students to meet Lufthansa Airlines Group rate of $400.00. Total cost of course: Round trip from Elon College to New York by plane. $67.12 Lufthansa German Airlines, the tour sponsor. $400.00 Includes round trip from New York to Munich, hotels, conti nental breakfast and dinner daily, transportation by bus be tween airport and resorts. Ski cost: optional cost for ski rentals and school Ski school $40.00 Lift tickets $42.00 Ski Rentals $50.00 Total cost of skiing $132.00 Passport fee—must show Drivers license and birth certificate at court house 12:00, 30 days prior to leaving. Also must have a 2Vi by 2Vz photo. Total cost of course $671.12 Lufthansa requires a $50.00 down payment of its $400.00 by Novem ber 1. Full payment is due by De cember 1.
